Mobile energy efficiency laboratory – LAVE
The R+D+i Energy Efficiency mobile Laboratory, is a mobile equipment used for fieldworks in Tenerife, created within the framework of the MACLAB-PV project “Improvement of capacities and infrastructures of R + D + i in the sector of renewable energies and energy efficiency of the Canary Islands and Senegal”, co-financed by the INTERREG MAC Program 2014-2020. This new mobile equipment complements the Living Lab CB ITER a fixed energy efficiency laboratory where the solutions implemented within the 24 accommodation units that make it up can be evaluated and tested. The mobile lab expands ITER´s field of action in energy efficiency considerably, now being able to determine solutions for specific buildings and adapt them to both to their typology and their type of use and location.
This laboratory can be used, among other services, for:
- Assessment in energy efficiency in buildings. Energy rehabilitation of spaces in use.
- Monitoring of walls and the thermal envelope of the building through hygrometric sensors.
- Architecture and urban planning projects whose design follow the principles of sustainability seeking to reduce the environmental impact of the construction sector and the energy consumption of buildings.
