ITER, aware of the importance of disseminating knowledge among the society about renewable energies and the role that technological infrastructures can play in the field of training, has carried out the design and development of a Technological Demonstration Unit of Renewable Energies. This unit is intended to be a didactic tool to help teachers in the theoretical and practical training in the field of renewable energies.

The Renewable Energy Technological Unit consists of didactic equipment to demonstrate the operation of different types of renewable energies in isolation and/or integrated into a network. It is made up of the following components:

  • Photovoltaic solar energy module.
  • Mini wind energy module.
  • Mini-hydraulic power module.
  • Energy consumption module.

The unit is equipped with all the necessary control devices for the students to learn how to operate it. It can simulate, on a small scale, multiple operating scenarios, so that in a short period of time, a wide variety of practices can be carried out.

The Technological Unit of renewable energies is available at ITER’s facilities for its dynamization by the technical staff upon request. To send the request or for any question about the unit, please contact us through the section REQUEST.
