ITER has proposed the development of the activity“Guided visit to ITER – European project MACLAB-PV” to join the program of activities coordinated by the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Canary Islands Government through the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society to commemorate the Science and Innovation Weeks in the Canary Islands 2022.
This guided tour will take place on November 17 and is aimed at a high school/training center of the island of Tenerife. With the development of this activity, the participants will learn about the European project MACLAB-PV (co-financed by the INTERREG MAC 2014-2020 program), which aims to optimize the scientific, technological, demonstration and innovation infrastructures and capacities existing in the participating regions, aiming at their excellence in research and innovation in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector. In addition, ITER will be presented as a research center, the participants’ knowledge on renewable energies will be reinforced in a practical way, and scientific and technological vocations, education in values and social and environmental responsibility will be promoted.
The guided visit will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, it will be carried out by Irene García Fernández, technician of the ITER dissemination department, and it will start at the ITER visitor center with the presentation of the MACLAB-PV project.
The activity has been included in the program of activities of the Science Weeks in the Canary Islands 2022 from where registration will be made. You can consult this activity and the rest of the activities proposed for this commemoration on the web https://www.cienciacanaria.es/scei2022/
