The recharge points are located in the parking lot of the main building and are equipped with a total charging power of 166kW. The Institute of Technology and of Renewable Energies provides the citizenship with 19 new charging points for electric vehicles. Anyone who wants to make use of these free charging points can access ITER´s facilities and charge their car in the new parking area reserved for electric vehicles. The 19 charging points are located in the parking lot of ITER´s central building and have a total capacity of recharge of 166 kW, allowing three of them the quick…
ITER will host a pilot plant in its facilities for the demonstration and implementation of hydrogen technology on the island. Representatives from 9 of the 10 project partners arrived in Edinburgh on 27th June for a two day meeting of the SEAFUEL project – an initiative funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project has a budget of €3,5 million over 36months and seeks to use the renewable resources across the Atlantic Area to power the local transport fleet and support the shift towards a low-carbon economy. The project, which kicked off…
The official kick-off meeting of the SEAFUEL project was held in Galway, Ireland, on January 25th and 26th 2018. With a total budget of 3,497,632,98€ and for 3 years, the SEAFUEL project aims to use the renewable resources across the Atlantic Area to power the local transport fleet and support the shift towards a low-carbon economy. The project will use the expertise and infrastructure of the partners in renewable energy, namely solar, wind and marine, to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen as a fuel to be used by the local transport authorities. Among the first activities of the project was…
With these two projects, ITER seeks to promote sustainable tourism through energy efficiency, renewable energy and ICT. ITER participated in the VIII edition of the Innovation Forum fi2, organized by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife through Intech, which took place on September, 26-27 at the exhibition grounds of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This edition of fi2 was aimed at showing the new trends in tourism and the technological advances in the sector. For this reason, ITER presented in the technological showcase of the Forum the first advances of two of its projects related to this topic, the SOSTURMAC project and…
