Photovoltaic modules
ITER manufactures photovoltaic modules both for its own use and on demand.
These are multi-crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules made up of 48 cells with an efficiency of 13.75%. Their manufacture takes place on the two assembly lines that ITER has in its facilities, with a maximum production that can reach 60MW annually.
The module components have been selected to withstand the most unfavourable environmental conditions. Therefore, the cells are encapsulated between a tempered glass and EVA cover, and a TPT back sheet.
The photovoltaic module has passed the most stringent quality controls, obtaining certificates in accordance with the IEC61215, EN61730-1, EN61730-2 standards and CE marking by the international certification body TÜV InterCert.
