Tango: H

Tango: H – Tangible Goals: Health

Tango: H (Tangible Goals: Health) is a social motor and cognitive rehabilitation platform for hospitalised children with functional diversity. This platform has been developed within the framework of the collaboration agreement established between ITER and the Interaction, Technology and Education Research Group (i-TED) of the Department of Systems and Automation Engineering and Computer Architecture and Technology of the University of La Laguna.

Tango:H bases its technology on the use of Microsoft’s Kinect ©, a device that by means of an RGB camera and a depth sensor is able to recognise the human body and its environment, interacting with information systems without the need for physical contact with traditional control systems. Tango:H has two basic game modes: single player and multiplayer. In turn, the multiplayer mode allows us to have up to two players at the same time playing collaboratively, competitively or sequentially.

The power of Tango: H lies in its activity design module. The designer that is distributed with the application allows us to create exercises that adapt perfectly to the needs of the players, both at a cognitive and motor level, in this way, we can create exercises that are educational, recreational, rehabilitation or a mixture of all of them, being able to make quick modifications almost instantly if necessary.
