ITER offers an electric vehicle charging area with 17 parking spaces and a total of 23 charging points, making it the largest electric vehicle charging platform in the Canary Islands. The facility provides free public access and is powered by 100% renewable energy.
Among its infrastructures, the site features two fast charging points in direct current (DC), each with a power output of 50 kW, equipped with CHAdeMO and CCS Combo 2 connectors. These fast chargers can recharge up to 80% of a vehicle’s battery in a short time, providing approximately 100 kilometers of driving range in just 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle.
The remaining 15 parking spaces are equipped with Mode 2 and Mode 3 alternating current (AC) charging points, as well as various in-house developed technologies.
All the energy supplied at this charging area is 100% renewable, reinforcing ITER’s commitment to sustainability and electric mobility. In addition, the use of the charging points is free of charge and open to the public.
