In 2011, Red Eléctrica de España (REE) empowered CCG-ITER as a delegated generation office to liaise with the system operator’s control centers.

According to Royal Decree 413/2014, all production facilities from renewable energy sources, cogeneration and waste, in electricity systems in non-peninsular territories, with installed power greater than 0.5 MW, and those with installed power less than 0.5 MW but forming part of a group whose total installed power is greater than 0.5 MW, must be attached to a Generation Control Center (CCG) and have Real-Time Telemetry (TTR).

CCG-ITER offers the necessary services so that production facilities from renewable energy sources comply with the provisions of the Royal Decree.

Provision of services

It includes the configuration of the communication between the installation and the CCG-ITER servers, the start-up of communications with REE for the TTR and CCG assignment, operational and technical tests, and certification of the CCG assignment.

Adequacy of facilities
