ITER’s Environment Area has a powerful catalogue of R&D infrastructures that are used to carry out its research work related to volcanic risk, geotourism in volcanic territories, water resources, geothermal exploration, environmental quality and agri-food traceability, among others.

Thanks to these infrastructures, the existing scientific equipment in each one of them and the professional experience of the human resources available in the ITER Environment Area, a wide range of services are offered, among them:

– Chemical and isotopic analysis of natural waters
– Chemical and isotopic analysis of free and dissolved gases in natural waters
– Volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis in atmospheric air and other gaseous matrices
– Biogas fugitive emission studies and biogas extraction system efficiency analysis in landfills
– surface geothermal exploration studies using and applying geological, geophysical and geochemical methods
– Indoor radon studies in dwellings and workplaces.
– Radon emanation studies in urban soils
– Seismic microzonation studies
– Seismic tomography studies
– Geophysical studies
– Monitoring and study of industrial microseismicity
– Agri-food traceability studies
– Chemical and isotopic analysis of anthropological samples
– Studies of immission levels of atmospheric pollutants (SO2, NOX, CO, O3 and PM10 and PM2.5 particles).
