The award highlights the Cabildo’s promotion of scientific and technological development and its efforts in environmental conservation.
ITER has received this award from the CEOE-Tenerife in recognition of the social work it develops. The Minister of Innovation, Research and Development, Juan José Martínez, accompanied by the CEO of ITER, Begoña Ortiz, was in charge of collecting the award.
The presentation took place on the occasion of the 46th Annual Assembly of the Tenerife employers’ association CEOE, where the study ‘Reconocimiento Social de la Empresa y el Empresariado Canario 2024’ (Social Recognition of the Canary Islands Business and Entrepreneurship 2024) was unveiled. This study, which is key to understanding the relationship between citizens and the business sector in the Canary Islands, analyzes the perceptions and attitudes of the population towards Canary Island companies and entrepreneurs. It also evaluates the influence of companies as social agents, the perception of different professionals and the effects of business activities and examines the actions of Corporate Social Responsibility, the perception of sustainable development and the valuation of infrastructures in the Canary Islands.
In addition to ITER, Binter, Caixabank, Cajasiete, Disa, Ecoembes and the Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias (ITC) were also awarded during the ceremony.
This type of events helps to highlight ITER’s commitment to sustainable development, innovation and social welfare, highlighting its fundamental role in the economy and society of the Canary Islands.
