ITER participates once again in the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) with a program of guided tours to our installations sorted by the Tenerife Energy Agency (AIET). The visits will be organized between the 14 and the 24 of June of 2016 with the objective of raising social awareness about the positive impact Renewable energies have in a global scale and, specifically, its importance in isolated territories and Islands.

During the visit, the participants will have the opportunity to explore ITER´s 25 years of history through some of its facilities, such as the Experimental wind platform, which are normally not open to the public. Attendees will also learn about the role ITER and AIET, both subsidiaries of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, they play in the development of renewable energies on the island of Tenerife, as well as its educational activities in the field of sustainable energy and energy efficiency.

Visits, free of charge, will have a duration of 2 hours and may be carried out in two shifts, at 9:30 or 11:30 hours. To participate you will need to pre-register through the visits form of our web page or by sending an email to visitas@iter.es.

The Tenerife Energy Agency and the Institute of technology and renewable energies participate each year in celebration of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), initiative launched by the European Commission in 2005. Thousands of activities are developed along all Europe within the framework of this event, key for the promotion of the renewable energies and energy efficiency, is celebrate activities along all Europe.
