Project overview

The main objective of SMARTLODGING4GUEST project  is to optimize the comfort of hotel accommodation clients, without undermining sustainability and energy efficiency.

SMARTLODGING4GUEST seeks to optimize the comfort of hotel guests by making their stay unique, not staying as usual in a mere personalized treatment by the staff. The project aims to make the hotel itself smart and adaptable in an autonomous way based on the behaviour, use patterns and preferences of the client. All of this, furthermore, must be achieved without undermining the energy efficiency of the building.

The Consortium that develop the project is composed of several companies that put to the service of the project multidisciplinary teams of experts in all the areas integrated in the project. The Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies is the leader of the project in which Magtel Operaciones S.L. and Sieltec Canarias S.L. participate as partners, and CTIC Centro Tecnológico as the subcontracted technological centre.

The project is carried out in the Canary Islands and Andalucia and is divided into the following activities that will be carried out during the three temporary milestones or annuities in which the project is divided (2016, 2017 and 2018):
