On May 7th, they visited ITER’s facilities to learn about the D-ALiX data center capabilities and the TEIDE HPC supercomputer.

Begoña Ortiz Lestón, CEO, and Jesús Rodriguez Alamo, Director of Engineering, accompanied the visitors during the tour to explore the Teide HPC (High-Performance Computing). This is a key component of the ALiX project aimed at launching infrastructures focused on creating an industrial fabric around Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It’s worth noting that since last year, the TEIDE HPC has a new device that, through Artificial Intelligence, complements and expands ITER’s supercomputing capabilities, increasing its current capacity from 260 TLOPS to a machine that quadruples this performance, around 1000Flops.

This visit to ITER was included as part of the program of the XVII ODOO 2024 Conference organized by BINHEX and FEMETE, which took place from May 6th to 8th in the south of Tenerife this year. These conferences are an opportunity for developers and functional consultants to come together to discuss the design of new community modules, as well as the incorporation of improvements and migrations of existing modules. All under the umbrella of OCA and its repositories on Github.
