The objective of this project, led by INVOLCAN and in which ITER participates, is to implement a system for the automatic analysis of volcanic monitoring data.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This project, led by the Instituto Volcanol\u00f3gico de Canarias (INVOLCAN)<\/strong>, involves the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico y de Energ\u00edas Renovables (ITER)<\/strong>, the University of La Laguna (ULL)<\/strong>, the University of Granada (UGR)<\/strong> and the company Arag\u00f3n Photonics Labs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The purpose of DIGIVOLCAN is to implement a system for the automatic analysis of volcanic monitoring data recorded by INVOLCAN, using state-of-the-art technologies based on artificial intelligence. These tools will strengthen the volcanic early warning system in the Canary Islands, which will be configured as a \u201cnatural laboratory\u201d of excellence in volcanic surveillance. <\/p>\n

The project also foresees the creation of a web interface for the visualization of the processed data that can be used by the civil protection authorities as well as by the general public.<\/p>\n

This project is co-funded by the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023<\/strong>, within the framework of R&D&I projects in strategic lines 2022<\/strong> (PLEC2022-009271), the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (INVOLCAN) and the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies (ITER).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
