Montesdeoca and Luis M. Ocaña, have been part of the International Conference “NanoGe International Conference on Perovskite Thin Film Photovoltaics and Perovskite Photonics and Optoelectronics (NIPHO23)”. The event, organized by the University of Chemistry of Pavia (Italy), the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) (Spain) and the Institute of Nanotechnology (CNR-NANOTEC) (Italy), was held May 15-16 at the University of Pavia, Italy. During the congress, the latest advances in the fabrication of photovoltaic devices based on perovskite structures were presented, addressing topics such as improved device stability and durability, more efficient and versatile configurations, interface and physics engineering, and intelligent optimization approaches.

Luis M. Ocaña also attended the NanoGe Conferences HOPV23 “15th International Conference on Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics”, held in London from June 12 to 14. This congress aims to present the latest findings on the fabrication of photovoltaic devices, and this edition focused on recent advances in this field, such as perovskite solar cells, organic solar cells, quantum dot solar cells and dye-sensitized solar cells, focusing on the development, efficiency and modeling of materials that make up the devices.

Finally, the researcher of the photovoltaic department of ITER, Daniel Molina, has been present at the IV National Congress of Self-consumption in Valencia. Organized by APPA Renovables, in collaboration with AVAESEN and with the main sponsorship of Endesa X, Edison Next, Iberdrola, Nexus Energía and Repsol, this congress brought together more than 50 experts in the field of self-consumption from May 24 to 25. During the event, key issues for the future of self-consumption were analyzed, such as regulatory changes, access to the grid for industrial installations, the market and surpluses, energy communities, storage, integration of electric vehicles and heat pumps.

The participation of ITER researchers in these international events aims to strengthen the capacities of the MACLAB-PV project research staff. Furthermore, it has contributed to the exchange of knowledge and the transfer of R&D results of the project and has facilitated the consolidation of synergies with other R&D groups and centers and the establishment of strategic alliances with other actors in the sector.

The MACLAB-PV project continues to advance in its objective of promoting the improvement of R&D&I capabilities and infrastructures in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector in the Canary Islands and Senegal, promoting collaboration, training and knowledge transfer for the development of clean and sustainable energies.

Links of interest:

MACLAB-PV Project

NIPHO23 International Congress

HOPV23 International Congress

National Self-consumption Congress

Research personnel from ITER’s photovoltaic department have participated in May and June in important international conferences, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and strengthening the presence of the MACLAB-PV project and the transfer of its R&D results in the scientific community.
