ITER’s Environment Area has a powerful catalogue of R&D infrastructures that are used to carry out its research work related to volcanic risk, geotourism in volcanic territories, water resources, geothermal exploration, environmental quality and agri-food traceability, among others.<\/p>\n

\n– Canary Islands Geochemical Network
\n– Canary Islands Geodetic Network
\n– Canary Islands Thermometric and Thermographic Network
\n– Portable Geophysical and Geochemical Instrumentation

\n– Mobile Unit for the measurement of atmospheric pollutants<\/p>\n

Thanks to these infrastructures, the existing scientific equipment in each one of them and the professional experience of the human resources available in the ITER Environment Area, a wide range of services are offered, among them:<\/p>\n

– Chemical and isotopic analysis of natural waters
\n– Chemical and isotopic analysis of free and dissolved gases in natural waters
\n– Volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis in atmospheric air and other gaseous matrices
\n– Biogas fugitive emission studies and biogas extraction system efficiency analysis in landfills
\n– surface geothermal exploration studies using and applying geological, geophysical and geochemical methods
\n– Indoor radon studies in dwellings and workplaces.
\n– Radon emanation studies in urban soils
\n– Seismic microzonation studies
\n– Seismic tomography studies
\n– Geophysical studies
\n– Monitoring and study of industrial microseismicity
\n– Agri-food traceability studies
\n– Chemical and isotopic analysis of anthropological samples
\n– Studies of immission levels of atmospheric pollutants (SO2, NOX, CO, O3 and PM10 and PM2.5 particles).
\n– Studies of emission levels of atmospheric pollutants (SO2 and NO2) from industrial sources using remote optical sensors (miniDOAS and COSPEC).
\n– Studies of air pollutant immission levels using remote optical sensors (OP-FTIR and TDL).<\/p>\n
