Given the large amount of information produced by this platform, simpler and more intuitive bioinformatics tools that require minimal learning are required in order to transfer this tool to an applied clinical environment. <\/p>\n<p>IonGap was born from a research project at the University of La Laguna, where it was initially conceived as a tool for the genomics experts of the University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands.
