The Programme involved the installation of 600 electricity production kits based 100% on renewable sources. The final beneficiaries of the Programme are estimated at more than 300,000 people in 600 rural communities, with no previous connection to the electricity grid.  <\/p>\n<p>EURO-SOLAR is a comprehensive programme, as it was not limited to the installation and commissioning of the equipment, but also included training for community members in the management and maintenance of the kits and support for the development of basic services in the areas of education and information technology, health promotion and social and productive activities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-36482\" src=\"https:\/\/\u200bwww.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.iter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/E-S-Kit-006.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Activities and Results<\/h2>\n<p>ITER participated in the supply tendering process, preparing the detailed technical specifications of the technical equipment, advising the EuropeAid Co-operation Office during the bid evaluation process and evaluating the tendered systems to ensure compliance with the technical requirements.
