In addition to these 15 informative and educational panels, this travelling exhibition will also include an exhibition of volcanic rocks from the Canary Islands.

During the exhibition, visitors will have access to educational material such as crossword puzzles and wordsearch puzzles, which are intended to contribute in a fun way to improving their knowledge of volcanic phenomena. Several documentaries on volcanology and volcanic eruptions will also be shown, including ‘Teneguía, el volcán amable’, co-produced by Centrífuga Producciones, RTVE and INVOLCAN. Within the framework of this initiative, the development of specific projects with the school community will also be promoted, the aim of which is to gain a better understanding of the perception that the residents of the municipality have of volcanic risk in the Canary Islands.

Links of interest:

INVOLCAN

FUNDACIÓN CAJACANARIAS

Volcanoes take to the streets Data Budget: 11,514.67 € Financing: CajaCanarias Foundation (4,000.00 €) & Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands, INVOLCAN (7,514.67 €) Reference: ED66 Acronym: volcanCALLE Duration: 2015-2016 Principal Investigator: Dr. Nemesio M.
