Its main functions include renewable energy projects that increase its contribution to the island&#8217;s energy balance and promote energy efficiency and sustainable construction. Of particular note is the installation of 44.3 MW of photovoltaic generation and 65.7 MW of wind energy in various parks. This area also provides design and manufacturing services for the necessary equipment for renewable installations, including photovoltaic modules and structures, and has a team specialised in Project Management, a Renewable Installations Operation and Maintenance Centre and a Generation Control Centre (CCG-ITER).   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ff2345 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"8ff2345\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-540eac7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"540eac7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It also develops R&amp;D&amp;I projects focused on improving processes for obtaining clean energies, using the Canary Islands&#8217; natural resources. This includes research into third-generation solar cells, the development of smart grids, and robotics and automation applications in renewable energies, as well as the integration of these energies in buildings and advanced techniques in sustainable architecture and urban planning. The area also promotes development cooperation and technology transfer, with the aim of improving living conditions in developing countries through renewable technologies.
